Sadly enough, I used to work with a guy who did the “no” method on “choosing a sitter”. When he got home from work, his place was empty except for the kids sitting on the carpet in the empty living room, they’d made the kids a snack before leaving. Go figure.

The washing the baby rule can definitely be broken. As a matter of fact there are times when hosing the baby down can actually save time and aggravation. One time my boy shit his entire body weight plus 10%. There wasn’t a Huggie in the world that could contain that brown tsunami. When he walked he left a fetid brown snail trail. There was no freakin’ way I was carrying him or otherwise allowing him in the house. And that’s when I discovered the garden hose actually works quite well…
